Lambert & Butler was established in 1834 in Clerkenwell, London, and merged into Imperial Tobacco in 1901. The cigarette brand was relaunched in the 1970s and became one of the UK’s top-selling King Size brands by the 1990s. Manufacturing has been based in Nottingham and later in European Union plants.
